Parental Involvement

Parental involvement is a very important part of our school program and philosophy. We ask for parents to be involved as much as possible to enrich our students' experiences. Parents may participate in many ways: being a grade parent, field trip driver, or just helping with occasional classroom parties or projects, and providing contributions of needed items. In addition, events are planned throughout the year to bring the home and school community together such as the fall festival, the Christmas pageant, athletics events, and many others. We ask that you get involved! See this link for our stewardship policy.

  • When volunteering, you must sign the visitor log located in the school office and get a “Visitor” sticker. This procedure is in place to support a safe environment for all students.
  • Parents are always welcome to join their child for lunch at any time.
  • Parent meetings with staff
  • We are unable to meet with parents during the preschool day, but are happy to meet with parents before or after preschool hours. A conference or meeting can be scheduled at any time by contacting your child's teacher via e-mail.
  • Method to obtain information or file complaints:
    • First discuss issue with your child's teacher
    • If issue is not satisfactorily resolved, contact our Principal, Sister Geri Rogers.
    • If issue is not satisfactorily resolved, contact our Pastor, Fr. Carl Zdancewicz.
    • If issue is not resolved at that point, you may contact the Diocese of Charlotte Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Janice Ritter.
  • Protecting God’s Children: All volunteers must complete “Protecting God’s Children” training. A list of upcoming training dates and registration information can be found at www.charlottediocese.org by clicking on the “Safe Environment” tab and then the “Training” tab. We also require a volunteer profile form to keep on file and a background check. This ensures that we maintain a safe environment for our students at all times.
