e to Our Lady of Grace Catholic School!
We are called to educate children, and we focus on each child individually. From the youngest 3 year old, to our oldest 8th grader, all students are special and respected at OLG.
Because it is important to provide a well-rounded education for all students,
- We support students academically with grade-level and advanced classes. And when children need help, we supply assistance in various ways, such as with resource teachers, tutoring and the new PACE and Quest programs.
- We challenge students physically with twice-weekly physical education classes and by recommending that each child participate in a school sport
- Most importantly, we encourage each child spiritually. Faculty and students attend weekly Wednesday Mass at the church as a school community along with parishioners. We pray and worship together. We pray together daily at the start of each school day. Children participate in annual traditions including the Living Rosary and the Stations of the Cross. Although we are rooted in the rich traditions of the Catholic faith, we welcome students of other faiths to join our school.
Children at OLG practice their faith by being the hands of God to a world in need. Through their religion classes, they visit area assisted-living facilities. Our school community takes part in Big Serve days where we all come together to improve the school facilities by cleaning, sorting and organizing projects around our building and grounds. We have been given much, and it is a blessing to be able to give back.
Graduates from Our Lady of Grace continue to grow to be leaders. For example, at Bishop McGuinness High School in Kernersville, OLG students have earned academic, athletic and art awards for their hard work in those areas. Whether OLG students choose to attend Catholic, private or public school schools, they often comprise the top tier of high-performing achievers.
