RETAILERS WANT TO GIVE OUR SCHOOL MONEY!
WHAT IS SCRIP?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing
negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase
everyday items like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for
St. Anthony School.
SCRIP IS “SHOPPING CART FUNDRAISING”
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families do not have to sell anything. Families produce revenue by
making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even
gasoline can be purchased with scrip.
HOW SCRIP GENERATES REVENUE FOR YOU
St. Anthony School buys scrip at a discount and re-sells the certificates to families for full face value.
The discount – from two to fifteen percent or more – is revenue for the school. As an incentive for all
families to participate in the scrip fundraising program, all discounts will be split with families – ½ of the
revenue will go to the school and ½ of the revenue will be credited back to the family as a tuition credit.
The tuition credits will be applied to the family’s account two times during the school year and will be
coordinated with the FACTS program.
SCRIP IS AVAILABLE MANY WAYS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE
The entire scrip inventory is available by weekly order (Scrip Order - long form). All orders are due by
Tuesday morning at 8:15 and will be sent home with the student the following Tuesday afternoon
unless other arrangements have been made. Also, a select offering of scrip (Scrip NOW - short form)
will be available instantly through the school from Monday through Thursday – this will cut down on
the hassles of ordering, and will help with last minute plans. Each order form has complete details for
placing an order. Contact the office for more information about the Scrip PrestoPay Program.
