St. Michael is blessed with an incredible, talented teaching staff, support team and administration. Beyond their specialized degrees in Education and teaching certifications, nearly 50% of our teachers hold Masters degrees. Additionally, many hold endorsements as Math Specialists or Reading Specialists. Our teachers collaborate to build progressive curriculum, benefitting from each other’s experience, education, expertise and excitement. Perhaps even more importantly, they care deeply. They are the very heart of the classroom.

We employ a Director of Teacher Development & Professional Learning who educates and energizes our staff, who in turn educate and energize our students through innovative teaching techniques.

Differentiation is key for learning, and we take it beyond the classroom when students work with our dedicated Learning Resource Specialist and Enrichment Teacher, so your child gets just what he or she needs to succeed.

Every teacher we've had has been wonderful...Mrs. Gabriel in particular has achieved Hero Status in our home for the kindness and warmth she provided to our kids on a daily basis.

Seeing how much effort and care Mrs. Bess and Mrs. Kozica have provided my daughter has meant so much to us and has helped her become the best possible person/student in so many ways.

Seeing the level of dedication people like Mrs. Los display on a daily basis - and doing so with spirit - is just incredible.

Having someone like Mr. Cashin around, whose family has been deeply involved with St. Mike's for nearly 50 years - is another testament highlighting how much this school means to so many people.

Mrs. Kozika and Mrs. Bailey have supported my daughter during difficult times to get her to a good place mentally and continue to be there for her. I also would credit her current and past teachers for knowing my daughter well enough to know when she needed that extra hug.

I also want to recognize Mrs. Stieb, my child's teacher. In just two months our child has made tremendous growth in his reading skills and she is to credit for this! Mrs. Stieb has provided clear expectations for our child while also nurturing his love of learning. At a time when school could be a place where learning and interacting may not be as exciting, I see the opposite with our child. He is progressing, making friends, and he loves his teacher and school!

When I needed support and guidance in helping my daughter navigate a challenging situation, Mrs. Angelone was there for me. She provided her perspective, shared some advice and offered to do whatever she could to help.

In the first grade, Mrs. Ray awarded my daughter the Archangel Award. When I spoke to Mrs. Ray, the things she said about my daughter brought me to tears. In such a short amount of time, Mrs. Ray had gotten to know my daughter so well and saw such goodness in her. I will never forget it.

Would like to commend all of the school nurses (past, present, and substitutes) for their health skills and kindness.

My boys absolutely love Mr. Wolf. Gym days are my boys favorite days. They don’t come home without utter joy and excitement from their time with “ Mr. Wolf”.

Mrs. Bailey has had a significant impact on my older child who needed some extra support in the early grades. She helped my child grow academically but also with her self confidence and independence at school. She is now getting As and Bs and loves learning.
