Community Service
Community Service plays an integral role at Saint Frances Cabrini School and is a cornerstone of our Schoolwide Learning Expectations.
The avenues of service range from projects with buddy classes, individual class projects, and school-wide service projects. From students to faculty and parents, we are all involved in service at SFC, and it is this very concept that tightens our community bond. In addition, our junior high students participate in an individual service program. In sixth grade, the focus is on individual service to the school community (six hours during the year). In seventh grade, the attention turns to individual service to the parish community (12 hours during the year). In eighth grade, the theme is individual service to the outside community at-large (15 hours during the year). In this manner, community service becomes an integral aspect of character building, leadership growth, and community engagement.
